It feels somehow that the sea and the snow shouldn't exist together.
This, of course, is not the case.
Still, even with frost cutting through the air,
the beaches outlining New York City are never entirely desolate.
After summer sunbathers, tourists, and picnickers are gone,
a stubborn few remain,
unyielding to this apparent clash of nature.
